1861: When he was 21, He married Emily Caroline Smith, daughter of Joseph Alfred Smith and Zulema Beckett, 1861 (1900 census shows married 39 years) in Procterville, Ohio.

1863:  He lived in Lawrence, Ohio when he was drafted into the Union Army 01 Jul 1863 (Draft Registration for Civil War).

He lived in Jackson, Hancock, Indiana, United States 1870.

He lived in Brandywine,  Hancock,  Indiana,  United States 1880. He lived in Choteau, Teton, Montana 1900.
